3 reasons why you need a social media manager:
Reason #1: You don’t understand social media
You understand the importance of social media but you don’t understand how to make it work for your business. One thing to remember….Not all social media is created equal, meaning, not each platform is going to work for your business. If you are not sure what your social media goals are or who your target market is, then you will be wasting your time on certain social media networks. It’s the job of your social media manager to understand what your goals are and who your target market is in order to implement a successful social media strategy.
Reason #2: You don’t have a social media strategy in place
In order to succeed on social media, you need to be consistent and share the right content. Having a social media strategy in place helps with that. Click here to read a blog post I did on creating a social media strategy.
Another thing to remember is that social media takes time. Just by creating a Facebook Page doesn’t mean people are going to be flocking to it and Liking your page. By having a social media strategy in place, you will be able to narrow down the types of content to share on each platform and how to get the followers and engage with them.
Reason #3: You don’t have the time
I hear this all of the time. When I talk to people, they want to be out growing their business by meeting new people and working with the clients they have. They don’t want to be sitting in front of a computer stressing out about their social media. If you are not good at social media, then you need to think about outsourcing it to someone who is. You need to be focusing on what you love.
Hiring a social media manager won’t be cheap, but once you find the right one, it will SO be worth it. If you hire someone who charges you $60 a month, they probably won’t have the same experience as someone who charges more.
