It is now April and Spring has shown it’s beautiful face! In March, I wrote about Spring Cleaning Your Blog and Social Media so today I wanted to focus on your Facebook Page. Let’s give it a facelift 😆
When was the last time you refreshed your Profile Picture and Cover Photo?
There’s no better way for people to get to know you than having a great profile picture and cover photo. Instead of your logo as your profile picture, have your headshot so people can put a face to your company. When it comes to your cover photo, showcase your products, especially when you come out with new ones. If you offer services, like I do, showcase the one you want to grow.
Here are the specs for creating and uploading your profile picture and cover photo:
Profile Picture should be 180 x 180 pixels
Cover Photo should be 820 x 312 pixels
If you want your cover photo to appear correctly on mobile devices, you should create your image at 828 x 475 pixels. Upload it to Facebook and then go look at it on your phone. Make any adjustments that need to be made.
Do you have your customized username for your page?
Facebook now allows you to create a username. It shows up under your Profile Picture as well in the URL of your page.
Here’s how to create your Username:
Click on About and under the General section you will see Username. Click on Edit and type in a username for your page. Try and use the name of your business. For me, I used my business name and real name.
Do you have your About section completed?
Your Facebook Page gives you many opportunities to get your information out there.
Depending on the category you chose and the template of your page, the information might vary.
Here’s what you should be able to complete:
- Name of your page
- Price Range
- if you provide goods and services
- Personal Interests
- Add your other social media accounts
- Founding Date
- Menu if you are a restaurant
Great place to tell how your business got started or how you can help people
If you are the only person managing your page, then tag yourself. Add anyone else who will be managing your page or who are employed by you.
Showcase anything exciting in your business, such as a new hire, if you won an award, introduced a new product or service, etc.
Add a Call-To-Action Button to your page. This can help drive sales or help grow your list.
All you have to do is click the blue button under your cover photo and choose which action you would like people to take on your page.
Your options include:
- Book with you – Book Now
- Contact you – Call Now, Send Message, Get Quote, Contact Us, Sign Up, or Send Email
- Learn more about your business – Watch Video or Learn More
- Shop with you or make a donation – Shop Now or See Offers
- Download your app or play your game – Use App or Play Game
- Join your community – Visit Group
Next, you choose where you would like the button to send them once then click on it.
